Today was the Brigham City Temple Dedication. It was broadcast to our chapel and we had to show a recommend to get in. It was a really nice meeting and pretty sweet to get to go early in the morning and have the entire day to relax and enjoy. Elder Packer is getting up there in age. Holy cow, he looks old.
Mikayla and Hallie are both practicing their violins together right now, it's pretty cute. I like it when they work together. They've been getting along so much better lately. It's nice. I like it when there is peace in the home. It's a wonderful thing.
This past week was our annual quilt retreat. That's where all of us quilters hang out in our garage all week and work on projects together. We've had a lot of fun and I was able to work on a couple of quilts for Christmas. It's really nice this year, because we actually have a nice place to do it now. I love my quilting room a lot!
I can definitely feel fall in the air. The nights are getting so much cooler and the days are much more pleasant. Next week I think some storms are coming in. How's the weather in Indiana?
I talked to Nichole this morning. She said to tell you hi, and she's thinking of you. She told me that every time Oakley says the prayer, she blesses "Jared on his mission", every time, without fail. So this is just a reminder that you have a lot of prayers being said in your behalf. Not to mention all the random, "bless all the missionaries", prayers that are said by millions of members all over the world. Know that you are loved very much by many people, and we are all praying for your success.

Elder Joos and I are doing well. We've picked up a few new people to teach this week. We've had a lot of less active members wanting to come back that have been popping out of the woodwork lately. We had a guy named Rob come to the church a few weeks ago and talked to the people at the family history center about getting his membership records from the ward in Germany that he was baptized in. Turns out he has someone who works for him that's a member, and he talked to him about meeting with us so he could get back to church. So, we met with both of them a few days ago. Rob's wife was also there and she's not a member. We were able to teach all three of them. It went really well. We gave Rob's wife a copy of the Book of Mormon and challenged her to read it and pray about it.
Brother Parker, our Ward Mission Leader got called to the Bishopric so we got a new one. A few minutes after he was called he rushed out of the Sacrament Meeting. He was having heart trouble, so his family rushed him to the hospital. I hope he's doing alright.
Well, we don't have much more time at the library. We're going fishing today.
